Google Workspace privacy

Updated September 27, 2026. This disclosure explains how Kaitlian LLC, the operator of Sumchat, handles data from your Google connection.

What you authorize

We store your requested Google email and the team's access-review decision. When you connect, Google verifies your account identity and gives Sumchat the permissions you approve. These can cover Calendar events and calendar lists, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Tasks, and Drive files created by or specifically made available to the app. We do not request Gmail, Google Photos or unrestricted Drive access.

How your data is used

Sumchat reads and changes Google content to carry out your requests, such as finding a document, editing a sheet, creating an event or completing a task. Relevant content and results enter your private assistant conversation and may be saved with your work. Your connection is not automatically shared with a workspace or group. If you ask Sumchat to share or publish content, that content goes to the recipients or services involved in your request.

Processing and storage

Cloudflare hosts the application, connection credentials and saved records. Google access and refresh tokens stay in server-side credential storage; they are not provided to the AI model or your browser. OpenAI's commercial services process relevant conversation and tool content to perform your work. TypeSafe processes context used to interpret requests, and Blooio carries replies and attachments through iMessage.

When you request other Sumchat features using Google-derived content, relevant content can also reach their service providers: Google's paid Gemini services for media work, Amazon Web Services for rendering, Monid and its configured media or research providers, Apify for research, or bundle.social and the social networks for publishing. We send the content needed for those requested features. We do not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or use or transfer it to train or improve generalized AI models.

Sumchat's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Human access is limited to your affirmative permission, necessary security investigation, or legal obligations. We do not claim that service providers have zero data retention.

Disconnecting and deletion

You can disconnect on the Google Workspace page. This removes the connection's saved tokens and stops future access through Sumchat. You can also revoke the app in your Google Account. Disconnecting does not automatically erase content already copied into conversations or work, nor the access-review record. These records are retained with your Sumchat account unless removed. Contact privacy@sumchat.ai to request deletion or ask about your data.
